Look back on a successful exhibition in 2021

November 2021

Solo exhibition with poetry – “Coming Home”
Mon 1st Nov to Sat 13th Nov

Open Door
Community Space and Cafe
360-364 High Street
Berkhamsted, Herts
HP4 1HU
A beautiful exhibition showing my images created during lockdown influenced by what home means to all living things. Many of us think of home as bricks and mortar but home can also be the small safe place deep inside that spiritual home spoken of by mystics throughout the ages. I also explored the vibrational memories of home that impel animals, fish and birds to travel many miles each year to their breeding grounds.
This exhibition was linked to DENS, a charity providing support for the homeless and to assist in rebuilding their lives. The centre displayed poetry and written word submissions from the community alongside my artwork and hosted a Coffee Morning on Wednesday 10th November.
I was pleased that a couple of local businessmen, having seen the posters outside about the exhibition and the link to DENS, dropped in and offered generous support to the charity. This was thrilling and made the effort of installing the exhibition so worthwhile.
A selection of poems was read during the event which you can see by following the links below
