School Workshops
Having been an art teacher in the 90’s, teaching part time along side my freelance work, I have many years experience with large and small groups primary right up to degree student level. Since developing my collagraph techniques I have been going back into schools as a visiting artist doing workshops, top up for teachers and short lectures on Illustrating, collagraph techniques, and earning your living as a freelance artist. The most popular are the 2 day collagraph workshops allowing whole school participation or selective year groups.
( managed max. 115 pupils – with help from each teacher and assistant in those classes that took part)
I also offer the facility of doing distinctive school statements with selective year groups or whole school participation in lobbies, entrances or any area which needs a particular impactful piece of artwork (mosaic, model making full size 3D wall pieces – used to doing very large installations on large assembly walls)
All can be linked to school curriculum and any ofsted requirements.

These delightful pictures were taken with kind permission from a school in Letchworth. We all had a splendid 4 days -2 days plate making and 2 days printing. I managed to get through 204 children over this period. It was achieved with a lot of help from class room T.A’s. and each class room teacher, thank you.
These large panels erected in the cloakroom area were created as a permanent art installation using the children’s plates. Fantastic!!
