Collagraph Prints
These hand-pulled collagraph prints are part of the Kim Major-George collection of images. Most images have a print run of only 10, some only a print run of 4. Many are hand embellished with mixed media and precious foils; all these additions enhance the ethereal quality of her work. All are double mounted with conservation board and only high quality framing is used. Each collagraph print is different and no attempt is made to create an exact copy. The print is numbered, signed and catalogued, thereby assuring the purchaser of its authenticity as a Major-George collagraph. A personal service is available incorporating the customer’s bespoke palette at no extra cost.

INTERLOCKING COLLAGRAPHS
This new style is an addition to the traditional collagraphs for which I am known.
The technique is very different and incorporates an interlocking stencilled section which is made over and above the traditional collagraph background plate. These established techniques work very well when brought together at the final stage.
I am putting together new workshops to cover this technique in 2023 – dates to follow.

All the Deep on Deep range are different – the layering of crackelure and tearing of edges before float mounting in deep French mounts make this range very unique.
Colours can be adapted to suit a client’s palette and a selection of gold, silver or copper added in line with their choice.

A complex design with many printing plates used throughout the process. 10 smaller plates were constructed and used to add to the gold leaf areas after the first larger plates were pulled through the printing press.
